It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved Anice Barnard of Gray, Tennessee. At the age of 84, she peacefully passed away on October 11, 2023. Anice filled our lives with love and joy, and her presence will forever be cherished. As we come together to honor her memory, let us offer our deepest condolences and support to her grieving family.

Anice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon Barnard. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Her memory will forever be cherished by her children: Todd Barnard (Susan), Debbie Thomas, Kim Good (Eddie), Karen Broyles (Chuck), Mike Hill (Drema), and Tony Pierson. Numerous grandchildren, including Adam Barnard, Brooke Shull (C.J.), Sydney Thomas, Ashley Thomas-Chang (Mark), Kayla Bradley (Wes), Maggie Good, Ethan Good (Danielle), Zack Grutsch (Carmen), Gracie Jones (Seth), Ryan Hughes (Jackie), Travis Hill, Trevor Hill, Elisha Hicks (Johnny), and Jeremy Pierson (Michelle), were blessed to have her as their grandmother. Anice valued friendship and leaves behind two dear friends, Peggy Milhorn and Judy Whitson. Additionally, she is survived by eleven beloved great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16th, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church (197 Suncrest St, Gray, TN 37615), where many cherished memories were made. Following the visitation, a poignant funeral service will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. On Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, a solemn graveside service will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park (2630 TN-75, Blountville, TN 37617).

In honor of Anice Barnard, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church Bus Ministry, a cause dear to her heart. As we find solace in coming together to celebrate Anice’s life, let us remember her as a beacon of love and compassion. May her spirit continue to guide us, and may we find comfort in treasured memories shared.
