With heavy hearts, we share the news that Betty Lucille Wimer of Cambridge, Ohio, a cherished soul, departed from this world on September 19, 2023, at the remarkable age of 89. Betty was born in Monroe, Ohio, and leaves behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our memories. During this difficult time, we kindly invite family and friends to join us in offering solace, prayers, and support to the grieving family.
Betty’s loving spirit was nurtured by her parents, Okey Leasure and Marie Leasure (Merckle), who have since passed on. Her cherished memory will be forever carried by her dear siblings, Clifford Leasure, Elisa, Charles (Jack), and Clarence Leasure. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved son, Jon Jay (Lori Wimer), of Seven Hills, Ohio, who has been a constant source of joy and pride in her life.
No words can truly capture the immense impact Betty had on those she held dear. Her grandchildren, Heather Wimer of Olmstead Falls and Jon Wimer of Sagamore Hills, held a special place in her heart. Likewise, her great-grandchild, Jack Wimer, brought immeasurable happiness and warmth to her later years.
In honor of Betty’s life, a serene graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at 11:30 AM. The service will take place at the Northwood Cemetery Chapel, where we will gather to pay our final respects and find solace in each other’s embrace.
During this time of immense loss, let us remember the many precious moments we shared with Betty. May her beautiful soul find eternal peace, and may her memory bring comfort to our grieving hearts. As we navigate this sea of grief, let us lean on one another, finding strength in a community bound by love, faith, and compassion.
