August 5 2023 (87 years old)

In the gentle embrace of our Lord, we come together to remember the gracious life of Betty May Heppner, a pillar of love and wisdom from Klamath Falls, Oregon. As we gather on this solemn occasion, we find solace in knowing that Betty now rests in the everlasting peace of our Savior, having departed from this earthly realm on August 5, 2023. At the age of 87, her journey was filled with life’s vibrant hues, from the joys of motherhood and grandmotherhood to the cherished moments with her late beloved husband, Robert Heppner.

Born to Lee and Thelma Garrett, Betty inherited a legacy of strength and compassion. Although she was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Bob, her legacy continues to blossom through her surviving family. Her children, Kathy Bishop and Lee Heppner, as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, are living testaments to the love and lessons she imparted.

In times of sorrow, Pastor James reminds us of the words from the Book of Revelation, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” As we mourn, let’s remember the joy and warmth Betty brought to each of us.

Betty’s memorial service, a celebration of her life and the promise of eternal life, will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories. It’s a time for reflection, to share stories, and to find comfort in the company of those who loved her dearly.

Recognizing Betty’s spirit of giving and her connection to Moses Lake, we humbly request that, in place of flowers, a donation be made in her name to the Moses Lake Alumni Association. Such contributions will be a fitting tribute to Betty’s memory, ensuring that her spirit of benevolence continues to touch the lives of others.

In this moment of parting, we draw strength from our faith and from the knowledge that Betty’s light will forever shine in our hearts. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
