The tight-knit community of East Carbon, Utah is deeply mourning the loss of Christine Jeanette Druce, who, after a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories, departed this world on August 26, 2023. Born on December 12, 1960, in MCB, Quantico, Virginia, Christine spent her formative years in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, building the foundation of her character. Tragedy preceded her demise with the loss of her parents, her daughter Makisha Norrell Garcia, and her brother James Bearden.
Christine’s legacy endures, especially through her husband Richard. They took the noble step of raising Makisha’s children, ensuring they received all the love and care they needed. Christine also leaves behind her children, Bobby Norrell and Jessica Garcia, and a lineage including 20 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. The void she leaves is somewhat filled by the presence of her sisters, Sandra Bearden, Patricia Wilson, Lisa Nail, and her brother Steven Bearden, who continue to share her stories.
Her life and memories will be celebrated at a memorial service on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 6:00 pm in Sunnyside Park, East Carbon, Utah. Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington is overseeing the arrangements, and they warmly invite friends and family to gather, remember, and pay tribute to Christine’s beautiful life.
