The community of Garfield Heights, Ohio, is grappling with the profound loss of David J. Rakoczy, who departed from this world on September 15, 2023. At the age of 58, David left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His vibrant spirit and kindness radiated, touching countless hearts. He was a devoted father, a doting grandfather, a loving son, and a caring brother.
Survived by his son Christopher, his beloved grandchildren Jazym, Olivianna, and Oliver, and the entire Rakoczy family, David’s legacy will live on through their memories. His siblings, Maryann Phillips and Robert E., along with nephews Gary Jr. and Garrett Philips and niece Megan, all shared treasured moments with him.
The family welcomes all who wish to celebrate David’s life. Visitations are scheduled for Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Latek & Rybicki Family Funeral Homes in Garfield Heights. Following the visitation, at 7:00 PM, a celebration of life will be held to honor David’s journey and the love he brought to so many.
