With immense sorrow, we regretfully inform you of the passing of Doris Kasinger Baker (Owensboro, Kentucky) on October 9, 2023, at the age of 91. It is with heavy hearts that we grieve the loss of this remarkable individual, while comforting each other in our shared sorrow. Doris was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lonnie Kasinger and Clara Frances Allen Kasinger, and her devoted husband, Bill Baker. She also mourned the loss of her precious daughter, Brenda Lee Baker, and her cherished siblings, Beulah Cambron, Lucille Epling, Frances Tyro, Mildred Snyder, Clifford Kasinger, and James Kasinger.
Left to carry on her memory are her dear children, Charlene Brown of Owensboro, Marilyn K. Baker of Owensboro, and Wayne Baker (Alisa) of Owensboro. Additionally, she leaves behind a legacy of love through her 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be an opportunity to pay your respects during the visitation on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the sacred grounds of Masonville Baptist Church (6601 US-231, Utica, KY 42376). We will gather there to honor and celebrate Doris’ life during the funeral service, which will take place on the same day, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the very location. Following the service, interment will follow from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the serene Pleasant Grove Cemetery (5664 KY-56, Owensboro, KY 42301).
