In the tapestry of life, each thread is unique, but few are as luminous as the one woven by Elva Molinar. We come together in heartache and reverence to remember a life lived with purpose, courage, and boundless love. Born under the warm skies of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico on July 9, 1956, Elva’s journey culminated in the gentle embrace of eternity on September 10, 2023, surrounded by the melodies of her family’s love.

Elva’s footsteps in the sands of time were imprinted when she ventured to the United States in 1981, embracing a new language and culture with grace and perseverance. Her story unfurled in Carbon County, Utah, where in 1988, she wore the badge of an American citizen with indomitable pride.

Radiating kindness, Elva was the embodiment of selflessness. Her generosity knew no bounds, often prioritizing the needs of others above her own. Her abode was a cocoon of warmth and laughter, open to all who sought comfort. Her laughter, a healing balm, and her tales, spoken with a hint of her native accent, were eagerly awaited by her grandchildren.

Despite life’s tempests, Elva was an anchor of strength. She traversed her challenges with unparalleled resilience, illuminating the path for many and leaving an indelible mark on every soul she encountered.

As we remember Elva, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind: her children, Francisco, Omar, Jessica, and Cindy; her cherished niece and nephew, Ruby and Sijifredo; and the echoes of her love in the laughter of her 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The symphony of her life may have reached its coda, but her melodies resonate in the memories she has bequeathed to her numerous nieces, nephews, and all who had the honor of knowing her.

Joining the celestial choir ahead of her were her daughter Nancy, her parents Sahara and Guadalupe, and her siblings Romelia, Oscar, and Guadalupe, as well as her nephew, Geraldo.

As we gather to bid farewell, funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. To share a moment of solace and remembrance, the family invites friends to the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-5:00 p.m. and again an hour before the service on Friday. Elva’s final resting place will be the serene grounds of Cliffview Cemetery.

In the words of her homeland, “Descansa en paz, Ama.” The fragrance of your memories will linger in our hearts, and you will be treasured forever.
