Des Moines, Iowa and surrounding communities are mourning the passing of a cherished member of their society, Gloria Jean Price, who departed this world on August 28, 2023. Gloria’s life spanned 78 years filled with love, grace, and countless cherished moments.
Born in Douglas, Arizona to Kenneth and LaOla Vansice, Gloria spent her life embracing the values she was raised with. She carried these values into her marriage with Robert Price, and together they navigated the highs and lows of life until Robert’s earlier passing.
The absence of Gloria, a pillar of strength and wisdom, will undoubtedly leave an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and love for family and friends were evident in every gesture, word, and deed. Even as we mourn her loss, we can take solace in the memories and lessons she left behind.
Gloria’s step-children, Steve and Sue, will always carry with them the cherished moments they shared with their beloved step-mother. These memories will serve as a beacon of hope and comfort in the days to come.
For those wishing to pay their respects, a visitation has been arranged on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, located at 301 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213, starting at 2:00 PM. To honor Gloria’s life and to bid her a final farewell, a graveside service is scheduled on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery, located at 1122 S Ridge Rd, Osceola, IA 50213.
