Hannah Ash Boat Accident – A youthful Eastern Shore lady died at the emergency clinic Sunday night after she was tossed from a bow rider on the Corsica River.

Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) state a 17-foot Sea Ray struck a sandbar while going on the waterway Saturday evening. 23-year-old Hannah Ash, from Chester on Kent Island, was riding in the bow of the pontoon and was tossed over the edge.

It occurred close to the red float number 8, as indicated by neighborhood reports. After Ash went over the front of the pontoon, police say the vessel kept going ahead and struck her in the water. She was traveled to an emergency room by Maryland State Police medevac and capitulated to her wounds the following night.

NRP says it keeps on exploring the mishap, which occurred around the same time that another powerboating casualty was accounted for, this one on the Sassafras River.

Witnesses had seen an unstable pontoon along the stream’s north shoreline close to Ordinary Point, NRP discloses to Bay Bulletin.
