It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear Howard James Bradford, a cherished member of the Semmes, Alabama community. Howard peacefully passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be treasured by his family and friends. As we gather here today, let us find solace in our memories and come together to honor Howard’s life and the profound impact he had on all who knew him.

In his journey to eternity, Howard was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gayle Lester Bradford Jr. and Barbara Ann Trame, as well as his dear sister Catherine Bradford Osborne. Though their loss weighs heavily on our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that Howard is now reunited with them in a realm of eternal peace.

Howard’s memory will live on through his adoring children, Leslie Hogan (Adam), Felicia Ott (Bubba), Daniel Yohey (Leslie), and Belinda Jones (Blane). He was a devoted father, instilling in them values of love, compassion, and strength that will guide them throughout their lives. Howard’s siblings, Susan “Susie” Bradford Smyes and Gayle Lester Bradford III, also carry his spirit within them, a bond that remains unbreakable even in his absence.

As a proud and doting grandfather, Howard’s love extended to Hunter Colton, Brayden, Bayler, Vivian, Moely Grace, and Myles. They were truly the light of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds. Additionally, we remember Lora Robinson, the mother of his children, with whom he shared unforgettable moments and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Howard’s kind heart and genuine nature touched the lives of many others. Countless extended family members and friends carry precious memories of their time with him, serving as a testament to his unwavering impact on the lives he touched throughout the years.

To honor Howard’s life and bid him a final farewell, a visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A comforting funeral service will be held at the same location, bringing together those who wish to pay their respects and find solace in shared memories. Following the service, we will gather at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery (34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36577), where Howard’s earthly remains will be laid to rest, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of nature.

As we mourn the loss of Howard, let us remember the joy and love he brought into our lives. May his soul find eternal peace and may we find comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide and watch over us. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this challenging time, and we offer our deepest sympathies.
