Today, with a heavy heart, we remember and honor one such precious life, Janice Brown of Anderson, Indiana. On September 12, 2023, Janice began her journey to the stars. A guiding light, Janice’s legacy was often marked by the brilliance of her love and the warmth of her embrace. However, like every life, she had her moments of sorrow. Before her, she lost her parents, Freeman and Sarah Sexton (Burchfield); her life partner, Mitchell Brown; her son, William B. Brown; and her dear siblings, Arvil, Clifford, A.J., Elma, Marie, and Thelma.
Yet, her spirit lives on through her cherished children, Roger L. Brown (Mina) and Barbara G. Hoppes (Larry). It gleams in the eyes of her grandchildren, Anthony, Sarah, Bonnie, and Rebecca, and echoes in the laughter of her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Thomas, Austin, Braelin, Gabriel, Andrew, Aaron, and Quinton. Janice’s memory also finds solace in the hearts of her nieces and nephews, Sharlete, Ellie, and Michael.
To pay homage to Janice’s life, a visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Here, we will gather to remember her life, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM in the same venue. Her resting place will be the serene Miller Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest later that day.
