In the tapestry of life, every thread holds a story, and today, we pause to honor one such story that touched many hearts. On September 9, 2023, the gentle soul of Jay Glaser from Ferrysburg, Michigan, born in the quaint town of Muncie, Indiana, departed from this world. His journey was filled with love, lessons, and memories that are now etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
We remember Jay not just for the void he leaves behind, but for the love and warmth he imparted. The chapters of his life were intricately woven with the affection of his loved ones. Sadly, he was met with the profound grief of outliving his parents, Lawrence and Nola Glaser (Tuttle), as well as the heartbreak of losing his cherished daughter-in-law, Angela Glaser.
Yet, Jay’s legacy continues to shine through the family he leaves behind. His loving wife, Willetta Wade, stands as a testament to a life of shared joys and challenges. His sons, Randy Glaser (Christina) of Norton Shores and Jeff Glaser of Grand Rapids, are reflections of his wisdom and strength. The memories he crafted with his grandchildren, Seth Glaser (Lindsey), Noah Glaser, Makayla Glaser, and Coral Svetanoff (Mark), as well as his great-grandchildren, Blair and Logan Svetanoff, will be cherished for generations. The bond he shared with his brother, Larry Glaser, and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Patterson (Jim) and Gary Wade, was unparalleled, offering comfort in times of sorrow and joy in moments of celebration.
As we gather in remembrance of Jay, those wishing to honor his legacy can make memorial contributions to Love in Action of the Tri-Cities or the Muskegon Rescue Mission. These acts of kindness will ensure that Jay’s spirit of generosity and compassion continues to touch lives, even in his absence.
May we find solace in the knowledge that the love and lessons Jay shared will continue to inspire and guide us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Glaser family during this poignant time.
