The community of Danbury, Connecticut, faces a somber moment as we mourn the loss of Jessica Ann Kuhnen, who departed from us on September 8, 2023. Jessica’s vibrant spirit and her unwavering love for her family and friends have left an indelible mark on our hearts. In these moments of profound grief, we recall the cherished memories we shared with her and the enduring love she had for those around her.
Left to keep her memory alive are her devoted husband, Jason Colon, and her loving parents, Karl and Carla. Jessica was not only a beloved daughter but also a caring sister to Jennifer, Jake (Sue), and Josh (Karen). As an aunt, her playful spirit brought joy to the lives of Aliana, Amare, Isaac, Hailey, Genevieve, and Elise. Jessica’s familial bonds ran deep, and she was a cornerstone of love, support, and endless joy.
The journey of remembrance begins on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, with a visitation period set from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, located at 25 Railroad Ave, Chatham, NY 12037. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Jessica’s life will take place at 1:00 PM at the same venue. Those in attendance will then proceed to the Ghent Union Cemetery at 67 Cemetery Rd, Ghent, NY 12075 for a graveside service at 1:45 PM.
We come together in these sorrowful times to remember Jessica, to share stories, to console, and to pay our final respects. Her legacy will forever live on through the lives she touched and the memories she created.
