Life is a tapestry woven with memories, experiences, and relationships. It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we share the passing of Robert F. Courtois, a cherished thread in this vast tapestry. On September 11, 2023, Robert, at the age of 61, took his leave from this world, closing a chapter filled with love, resilience, and tales of his journey. Born amidst the rich heritage of Worcester, Massachusetts, Robert later made Gloversville, New York, his home, spreading warmth and building connections in both places.
Each individual leaves behind a legacy. For Robert, it was the stories he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the love he gave freely. Though he is now reunited with his parents, Robert F. Courtois and Mary Morrissey Courtois Sr., his memory continues to echo in the hearts of his siblings: Deborah, Michelle, Susan, Michael J., and William G. Courtois. Their bond, a testament to familial love, is filled with countless anecdotes of joy, shared challenges, and mutual support. In addition, Robert’s life touched an aunt, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, each carrying their unique moments with him.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Robert’s life. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Riley Mortuary, with a service at 6:00 PM to honor his journey and legacy.
In remembrance, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Fort Johnson Fire Company # 1 or Montgomery County SPCA, a gesture to continue Robert’s enduring spirit of community service and compassion.
