We deeply regret to inform you that on October 11, 2023, at the remarkable age of 96, Rosemary Soto Cabrera peacefully departed from our presence. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jesus Delgado Soto and Corina Lucero Soto. She now reunites with her children Maria, Andy A. Cabrera, Evangeline Cabrera Lujan, and James Raymond Cabrera, as well as her cherished grandson Steven Joseph Valencia. In addition, she joins her siblings Filomeno “Phil” Soto, Elizabeth “Bessie” Murillo, Erminia “Minnie” Soto, and Margarita “Maggie” Villanueva, who have gone before her.
Rosemary’s memory lives on through her grandson, Father George Szal, who carries her love and wisdom with him. She was also once married to Anastacio “Andy” Cardon Cabrera, and her sister Josephine “Josie” Jemente remains by her side. Her daughter Blanca Marie Cabrera, along with her children-in-law, Viann Cabrera, Eliseo Lujan, and Steven L. Valencia, will forever hold her close to their hearts.
Rosemary’s love extends to her precious grandchildren: Jacqueline Suzanne Valencia, David Nathaniel Valencia, Melissa Scott (Jeff Scott), Benjamin Hernandez, Lee Smith (Shannon Toledo), and Monique Martinez (Adrian Martinez). Additionally, her great grandchildren, Gage Sloan Valencia, Aaron Snyder, Shanize Reynaud, Xavier, Zakary, Leilani, Kaleb, Aric, Alexandra, Isaiah, and Giselle, will carry her spirit forward. Rosemary also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were blessed to have been touched by her presence.
We invite you to join us in a funeral mass to honor Rosemary’s life and legacy. The mass will take place on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the tender embrace of the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Let us gather in unity to celebrate the profound impact Rosemary had on our lives.
Rosemary Soto Cabrera’s life was an embodiment of unwavering loyalty, kindness, benevolence, a pursuit of knowledge, unyielding determination, and an unwavering belief that no one should define her capabilities. As we bid farewell to her physical presence, may her spirit forever reside within us, inspiring and guiding us on our own journeys.
May Rosemary’s soul find eternal peace, knowing that she profoundly impacted the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. In our grief, let us find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with her and in the knowledge that she is now at peace in the loving arms of the Divine.
