Hammond was brought into the world July 25, 1924, in Ridgely, to the late Raymond E. Seth and Nora Hammond Seth.
He got his initial instruction at Ridgely Elementary School and Lockerman High School.
Hammond later joined the U.S. Armed force in 1943 and was respectably released in 1946.
He was utilized by Vita Foods and afterward by Masters Lumber Co. until his retirement.
Hammond moved to Butlertown numerous years back to wed the affection for his life, Evelyn Wilson Seth.
He was gone before in death by his better half; one sibling, Irvin Seth; and two sisters, Beatrice Simpson and Margaret Henry.
Hammond is made due by his girl and her better half, Atia and Christopher Johnson Sr. of Severn; his child, Larry Wilson of Severn; one sibling, Hoover Seth of Wilmington, Del.; one sister, Velma Fountain of Ridgely; one brother by marriage, Robert Moore of Georgetown; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wilson and Irene Moore, both of Georgetown, Hazel Seth of Wilmington and Margaret Seth of Ridgely; four grandkids, Jontier Robinson, Christopher Johnson Jr., Joaquin Wilson and Tymia Wilson, the entirety of Severn; seven incredible grandkids; an adoring and caring niece, the Rev. Janice Blackston; and a large group of nieces, nephews, cousins, and companions.
Administrations will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive AME Church, Butlertown, where loved ones may visit two hours earlier.
