Tim Blackburn Obituary – John Timothy Blackburn of High Point, North Carolina, left us on Sunday, September 26, 2021, after a long and twisting street of wellbeing challenges and a full existence of affection and chuckling. He was predeceased by his mom, Julia, who died in 2005, and his dad, Charlie, who died in 2007. Left to esteem his memory are his caring spouse Rhonda and his revering girls, Emily and Ellie, in addition to various cousins and endless companions who knew him as “Jay Bird” and “Moose.”
Tim was brought into the world on May 30, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia, and experienced childhood in High Point. A glad Tar Heel, Tim moved on from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975 as an individual from the Junior Varsity ball group, a Morehead researcher, and a sibling of the Alpha-Alpha section of Chi Phi brotherhood. Following graduation, Tim adventured across Europe with a portion of his closest companions, gaining experiences in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and then some.
His fondest recollections were those made during his many visits to Ireland, the genealogical home of his grandparents and the wellspring of his indisputable Irish appeal. Tim later set out on a long and fruitful vocation in the furniture promoting industry at Alderman Studios in High Point. In his available energy, you could quite often discover him training a Bitty Basketball League group at the YMCA or taking part in exercises through the High Point Y’s Men’s Club. In 2003, he and his family migrated to Florence, Alabama, where he filled in as a record leader at Fasco America and where they resided until 2016.
Tim was “awesome,” and the people who came to realize Tim rarely left his essence without telling up at a wisecrack, getting a music suggestion, or hearing a story that left them in join. A pleased and committed spouse and father, Tim loved his family. Presently rest, great and unwavering worker.
