With hearts weighed down by grief, we must share the somber news of the passing of a remarkable individual. On September 2, 2023, the world bid farewell to William Harry Sharp of Grand Haven, Michigan. Born in the scenic town of Bath, New York, William graced this earth for 81 meaningful years, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

William’s journey began under the loving watch of his parents, Howard and Clara Sharp (Case). In time, he crafted a life rich with experiences, love, and wisdom. Though he was predeceased by his doting parents, William’s life was a tapestry of shared moments and deep connections.

His bond with his wife, Doreen J. Cover, was the kind of love many aspire to find — enduring, passionate, and supportive. Their union bore fruit in their wonderful sons: William Jr., Mark Cover (Joanne), and John Cover (Erica). Each son, in his own unique way, carries forward William’s spirit and values. His grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Madison, and Carson, were the apple of his eye, and they will undoubtedly keep his memories alive with tales of his wisdom and affection.

Family ties held a special place in William’s heart. He shared countless memories with his sister, Nancy Cassaro (Angelo). The bond he had with his sister-in-law, Casiane, and his niece, Carrie Hollstein (Greg), was truly special, marked by mutual respect and care.

To honor William’s legacy and his compassionate nature, memorial contributions can be directed to the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Such acts of goodwill stand as a testament to his lifelong commitment to uplifting those in need.

As we reflect on William’s journey, may we cherish the lessons and love he imparted, offering our thoughts and prayers to the Sharp family during this tender time.
